Electricity Prices to be raised across Pakistan significantly

ISLAMABAD – The government has decided to increase electricity prices byRs2 per unit, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

The hike in the prices will put additional burden of Rs200 billion onconsumers. The capacity payment of Rs200 billion will be charged from thecustomers.

The prices will be increased after getting approval from National ElectricPower Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
