ISLAMABAD – Twitter has suspended the account of top Pakistani official oncomplaint of Maryam Nawaz, Media Report has revealed.
As per media report, Twitter has suspended the account of PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Punjab Chief Minister’s spokespersonShahbaz Gill.
It is not clear on what reasons the account was banned.
However, Shahbaz Gill claimed that the suspension of the account was madeover complaint of Maryam Nawaz, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz(PML-N).
The Punjab CM’s spokesperson said that he has informed Twitteradministration regarding his responsibility to share details of the jailedformer prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Gill claimed that Maryam Nawaz has complained to the Twitter administrationover sharing health-related details of her father Nawaz Sharif.
In his video message, Shahbaz Gill said that PML-N has complained againbefore the Twitter administration for sharing details of its supremo NawazSharif.
He raised objections over the move, saying it was the government’sresponsibility to provide health-related updates of the inmate if he wassuffering from an ailment in order to aware the nationals.
Gill added that he had not publicised any of the medical reports [of NawazSharif] but only portioned up his [Nawaz Sharif] well-being and opinion ofdoctors as it was a responsibility to him as a government’s representative.
The official said that the development will change nothing whethersuspension of a Twitter account or submission of any resolution against himand he would do any task given to him by the top leadership.
