ISLAMABAD – Malaysia has evinced keen interest in procuring JF-17 Thunderfighter planes and anti-tank missiles from Pakistan, the Radio Pakistanreported.
This was stated by Finance Minister Asad Umar while briefing media afterdelegation-level talks between Pakistan and Malaysia at Prime MinisterHouse in Islamabad on Friday.
He said Malaysian delegation sought the participation of JF-17 Thunderaircraft in a defence fair to be held in that country in the near future.
Finance Minister said both sides agreed on business and investment worthhundreds of millions of dollars in diverse fields.
Similarly, both delegations also agreed to open branches of their banks inthe two countries.
Finance Minister said in their one-on-0ne meeting, Prime Minister ImranKhan briefed Malaysian Prime Minister about recent stand-off with India andPakistan’s quest for peace and stability in the region.
The minister said that Malaysia would also import Halal meat and rice fromPakistan.
