ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned the incident of firingon eminent Islamic Scholar Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.

In a statement, he said attack on leading personality like Muhammad TaqiUsmani is a serious conspiracy and every effort will be made to expose this.

The Prime Minister said religious leader like Muhammad Taqi Usmani areasset of not of the country and the Muslim world. He said provincialgovernments should ensure foolproof security of Ulema.

Imran Khan expressed satisfaction on reports that Mufti Taqi Usmaniremained safe in the attack and expressed grief over the demise of hissecurity guard.
