ISLAMABAD – US President Donald Trump has said the United States shouldacknowledge Israeli sovereignty over the hotly-contested Golan Heights.
In a tweet message, he said it is now time for the United States to fullyrecognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of criticalstrategic and security importance to the State of Israel and RegionalStability.
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit has, in a statement,strongly condemned President Trump’s announcement and said it is completelybeyond international law.
He said the Arab League stands fully behind the Syrian right to itsoccupied land.
