Missiles fired at southern city of Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD – The Yemeni missile unit fired two Badr-1 ballistic missilestoward Saudis’ positions in southern Saudi Arabia.

According to Yemeni media ‘Al-Masirah’, the army and the popular committeesof Yemen targeted Saudi forces’ positions in Jizan.

UN special envoy Martin Griffith announced on Tuesday that significantachievements have been made on implementation of the first round ofal-Hudaydah agreement.

The United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2451 to support theStockholm Agreement on deployment of a team in order to facilitatemonitoring and implementing the Agreement and establishing truce inimportant Yemeni ports.

The resolution mainly focuses on sending essential commodities to theYemeni people, supporting the Stockholm Agreement, assigning theSecretary-General of the United Nations to implement it and observing theceasefire.

The fourth round of Yemen peace talks kicked off in Stockholm, Sweden onDecember 6 with the attendance of Griffith and the governmentrepresentatives.

It agreed to establish truce in Yemeni ports of al-Hudaydah, al-Salif andAyn Issa.
