ISLAMABAD – Information Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired ameeting in Islamabad on Tuesday to review progress on development work atKartarpur Corridor.
The Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing by Frontier WorksOrganization on the work undertaken so far.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said the meeting decided not to construct buildingson a piece of 30 acre land which was used by Baba Guru Nanak forcultivation, out of his respect. The request for keeping this areapreserved was made by Novjot Singh Sidhu in a letter to government ofPakistan.
He said Kartarpur Corridor is a project of 1500 acres of land inauguratedby Prime Minister Imran Khan in January this year.
He said a road of 6.8 kilometers will be constructed in the corridor tofacilitate the sikh pilgrims coming to visit the shrine.
