Two big corruption allegations surface against CM Punjab Usman Buzdar

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started itsinvestigation into alleged corruption by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

Informed sources told Geo News that two applications were filed in NABaccusing the Punjab chief minister of corruption. They said that NABofficials have confirmed the contents of the applications and have starteda probe into the allegations.

NAB Director General Lahore, Major (retd) Shehzad Saleem said that topofficials at the NAB headquarters were aware of matter and that they hadordered to take necessary action over it.

Sources told private channel that the provincial chief minister is facingallegations of getting a government helicopter insured for Rs70millioninstead of Rs30mn.

The chief minister had ordered the amount for the helicopter insurance tobe paid from supplementary grants.

In addition, the chief minister is also accused of illegally awarding analcohol-sale permit to a private hotel in Lahore.
