LAHORE – Pakistan cricket team departed for London overnight to take partin a bilateral series against England next month, followed by the ICCCricket World Cup 2019 starting from May 30.
The World Cup squad, led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, took off from Lahore in theearly hours of Tuesday. The team will reach London via Dubai later today.
Pakistan will play three warm-up matches before taking on joint-hostsEngland in a five-match one-day series and a Twenty20.
A 17-member team included Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Fakhar Zaman,Imam-ul-Haq, Abid Ali, Babar Azam, Haris Sohail, Shoaib Malik, MohammadHafeez, Imad Wasim, Yasir Shah, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Junaid Khan,Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain. Muhammad Amir and Asif Ali wereselected for England series.
