Pakistan and Iran decide to enhance legal and judicial collaboration

Islamabad, April 15, IRNA – Iran and Pakistan emphasized the need forfurther strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the legaland judicial sectors.

This was discussed during a meeting between Ambassador of Iran to PakistanMehdi Honardoost and Pakistan’s Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan inIslamabad.

Referring to the achievements of the two countries in legal sector over thepast two years, the ambassador emphasized the importance of continuingregular interactions between the two states in order to expand bilateralties and exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.

The Attorney General of Pakistan also emphasized the importance ofcontinuing talks and consultations between the two sides. He added thatthere is a vast scope of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in legal andjudicial sectors.

It is worth mentioning that Attorney General of Iran Mohammad JafarMontazeri visited Pakistan in October 2016 on the invitation of hisPakistani counterpart.

The trip was aimed at promoting legal and judicial cooperation between Iranand Pakistan.
