German Ambassador Martin Kobler s last message with a promise for Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD – German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler who won the heartsof many Pakistanis said he is leaving the country with a sad heart but willbe back in the country as an ordinary tourist.

The ambassador who had announced his retirement last month held a farewellbrunch on Monday to celebrate his two-year-long stay in Pakistan.

Taking to Twitter, the diplomat shared, “What a memorable farewell brunchwith my friends and colleagues!! Thank you all for so much love!! gave myfarewell speech with heavy heart. Was one of the best posting ever!! Only 2days to go!! Will miss Pakistan and her people forever.Martin also posted a video of his farewell message to the country.

Starting off the video with a Salam, the German ambassador to Pakistansaid, “This is, unfortunately, my last message after touring your countryfor two years. I must say I’m leaving the country with a sad heart but besure I will come back as an ordinary tourist.”

He continued, “I spent two of the most wonderful years in Pakistan whichwere professionally awarding but also rewarding in my private life. Idiscovered so many beauties of your country.”

“Despite all the difficulties you might have in the political world, socialand economic fields I’m very confident that Pakistan will make away topeace and prosperity,” Kobler added.

He ended with, “I wish you a good future particular the young generation.Thank you for giving me such a wonderful time in your country. “
