Saudi Crown Prince MBS was the vital man behind reducing Pakistan India tensions

*ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting FawadChaudhry has Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman played a vital role inreducing tensions between Pakistan and India.*

In an interview with the Saudi newspaper ‘Al-Riyadh, he said Pakistanenjoyed warm cordial relations with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The crownprince, he added, was also making efforts to show the enlightened face ofIslam and Muslim Ummah to the world.

Tensions between two nuclear-armed neighbours had peaked in the wake of theFeb 14 incident of Pulwama suicide attack in which more than 40 Indiansecurity personnel were killed.

The minister further said both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are making effortsto present the true soft image of Islam before the world. He said thekingdom was playing an important role for the integrity of Muslim Ummah andsafeguarding it from prevailing threats.

He said Saudi Arab was playing the role of the leader of Islamic world asevident from its active role and participation at international fora anddecision making process.

Chaudhry said Saudi Arabia maintained strong defence and security ties withdifferent countries in the region and on international level, which helpedensure unity among the Muslim Ummah.
