JATI UMRAH – Authorities of the Kot Lakhpat Jail on Tuesday arrived at JatiUmrah residence of the Sharif family to arrest Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz(PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Nawaz was released from the jail on March 27 after the Supreme Court hadsuspended his sentence in the Al-Azizia reference and granted him bail onmedical grounds for six weeks.

On May 8, Supreme Court dismissed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’spetition seeking permanent bail on medical grounds.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard thecase in Court Room no. 1. The bench also included Justice Sajjad Ali Shahand Justice Yahya Afridi.

The court maintained that none of the doctors who examined the formerpremier had recommended that his treatment was only possible abroad.
