KABUL – In Afghanistan, Taliban has rejected calls for a Ramadan ceasefire.
In a statement, Taliban said US and NATO troops must withdraw from thecountry first.
On the other hand, NATO Senior Civilian Representative for AfghanistanNicolas Kay says the alliance will remain in Afghanistan to train, assistand advise the Afghan forces in their fight against terrorists until thereis a durable peace in the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Herat, he said the international community willnot allow Afghanistan to once again become a safe haven for “terrorists”.
