ISLAMABAD — Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Pakistannext month.

Diplomatic sources in Islamabad say Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) is inconsultation with the Russian Embassy in Islamabad to finalize the scheduleof the expected visit of Russian President.

Pakistan Foreign Office had earlier proposed a meeting between PrimeMinister Imran Khan and Russian President Putin during Belt and Road Forumin China which was turned down by Russian officials due to otherengagements of Russian President.

The bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia have experiencedimprovement particularly in post CPEC period.
