LAHORE – Legendary cricketer Javed Miandad has responded to the allegationsShahid Afridi made in his autobriography.
Javed Miandad said that masala (spice) is always added to the books. ShahidAfridi has written what he wanted to write. “I leave all these allegationsto Allah. Is it possible that a cricketer is not allowed to do net practicebefore a test match?” he said.
He said that he always made the players do net practice and Salahuddin Saluis a witness. “Allah has given me much respect. Allah also has a rule. If aperson is bad, he gets infame and if he is good, he gets good respect,”Miandad said.
People respect me all over the world today. They respect me because theyknow I have served Pakistan, he added. “I was the coach of Pakistan team,every person can give my example,” he further said.
“I worked all my life keeping Allah in my mind. These allegations don’tmake any difference. All of this will be evaluated on the Day of Judgment.Every person will get to know about their deeds then,” Miandad added.
Shahid Afridi has made some startling revelations in his autobiography‘Game Changer’. Shahid Afridi has criticised many fellow cricketers,including the legendary ones. He criticised various cricketers, incluingWaqar Younis, Shoaib Malik and Javed Miandad.
In his autobiography, Afridi revealed that he was not 16 when he played hisfirst one-day match. He was 19-year-old then.
