LAHORE: An accountability court has extended the judicial remand of formerfederal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique tillMay 16 in the Paragon Housing Society scam, on Thursday.
PML-N leader MNA Saad Rafique couldn’t appear in the court as he was inIslamabad for NA session, Accountability court judge Syed Najam-ul Hassanpresided over the hearing.
When the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore officials producedSalman Rafique in the court, the judge ordered to immediately take him backto the detention cell by stating “the complete city has been locked down.”
Meanwhile, a heavy contingent of police was deployed around the court toprevent party workers from disrupting law and order situation during theirappearance.
