Meesha Shafi, Ali Zafar defamation case takes a new twist

ISLAMABAD – Meesha Shafi served a legal notice to Ali Zafar for hisstatements on TV, seeking an apology and Rs 2b in compensation within 15days for damaging her repute, failure to do so, she would be forced to takelegal action.

Meesha’s legal team tweeted the notice that has been sent to Ali Zafar, forhis ‘false and malicious statements.’

Meesha’s team also gave clarification on the question raised by Ali Zafaron her Canadian immigration. The statement read that our client.

‘Applied for Canadian immigration in 2015 which was processed and approvedfor resident-ship and since 2016, she is a Canadian resident. Hence, yourclaim that the allegations against you were made by our Client to getCanadian immigration is patently false,’

As per the notice, an apology was seeked from Ali Zafar, if he doesn’tcomply than legal proceedings would be initiated.
