US President Donald Trump has expressed his willingness to hold talks with Iran but reiterated not to allow it to have nuclear weapons.
Speaking after talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in northern France, Trump said he can consider talking to Iran if Tehran wants to hold talks.
US diplomats helped negotiate the landmark 2015 deal on Iran’s nuclear programme with Europe under Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama but Trump unilaterally pulled out of the deal last year.
