WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to hit China withtariffs on at least another 300 billion dollars worth Chinese goods.
He stated this while talking to reporters before boarding Air Force One atIrish airport of Shannon on his way to France for a D-Day commemoration.
Trump said our talks with China, a lot of interesting things are happeningand we will see what happens.
Meanwhile, China’s Commerce Ministry said today(Thursday), that Beijingwould have to adopt necessary countermeasures if Washington unilaterallyescalates trade tensions.
It said that U.S. pressure have also caused serious setbacks to the tradetalks.
Earlier, International Monetary Fund warned that escalating tariff threatsare sapping business and market confidence, and could slow global growththat is currently expected to improve next year.
