ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday criticizing the previous governments of Pakistan Muslim League-N and Pakistan Peoples Party said both the parties were responsible of mishandling the economy.
This inflation and price hike was due to the weak policies of the PML-N’s last government, she stated while talking to a private news channel.
The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government was striving to strengthen rupee against dollar besides taking initiatives for reviving the economic sector, she added.
To a question, Firdous said Ishaq Dar, the former finance minister responsible for the current state of affairs, had fled the country with his family. If Dar was innocent then he should come back and face the cases against him, she added.

Replying to another question about references against judges, the special assistant said the government had nothing to do with these references and the matter was subjudice.
