ISLAMABAD – National Electric and Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) onMonday raised power tariff by another 55 paisa per unit.
A formal notification in this regard has been issued today.
The hike in power tariff has been made under fuel adjustment, NEPRA statedin a press release.
Central Power Purchase Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G) in a petition hadsought 57 Paisa per unit increase in power tariff for the month of Aprilunder monthly fuel adjustment formula.
However, the increase would not be applicable to lifeline consumers usingup to 300 units, agricultural and K-Electric consumers. The impact of hikewould be Rs.5.2 billion and it would be recovered from the consumers duringnext month.
