NEW DELHI – Two Indian Army officials were thrashed by the employees of arestaurant in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat.
A video shared by news agency ANI on Sunday showed goons descending on thetwo Army jawans with sticks and hurling abuses at them. One of the jawanwas seen fighting back. He later tried to escape but was mercilessly beatenby the mob and was seen bleeding.
Uttar Pradesh police said the Army jawans were having lunch at a restaurantin Baghpat when they had an argument with a person. Later, the restaurantstaff got involved and a fight broke out between the two sides. However,details of the arguments are not known as of now.
The police said a case has been registered and more than seven people havebeen arrested in the related to the incident.
