Big News for Cricket fans in Pakistan

SINGAPORE – The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have awarded the hosting rightsfor the Asia Cup in 2020 to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The tournament is scheduled to be played in September 2020, and will beplayed in the T20 format, the Council ruled in its meeting in Singapore onTuesday.

It is set to precede the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup.

During the Tuesday’s meeting, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officiallyrequested Sri Lankan cricket officials to send a team to finalise thesecurity arrangements in the South Asian country.

Last year’s Asia Cup was hosted by UAE, has served as Pakistan’s adoptedhome for men’s internationals since 2010.

The 2018 Asia Cup was scheduled to be played in India, but was shifted toUAE with India triumphing over Bangladesh in the final by three wickets.
