CHAGHI – Pakistan Army on Tuesday has started work on growing forest atwaste area in Chaghi foothills near Raskoh to cope with issues of climatechange.
Over 45,000 plants of various kinds were planted at 105 acre of land withsix tube wells for constant supply of water in Pozoi area of Chaghi to makeit green.
The hilly desert plains of Chaghi will have the first forest with phasedplantation of trees.
Pakistan Army excellently utilized the recent rains water for cultivationof plants in drought hit Chaghi area.
The forest will be handed over to Forest department after getting strengthenough to face the severe climatic conditions.
