LAHORE – Nawaz Sharif has been grilled over 2 hours and 30 minutes insideKot Lakhpat Jail by a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team on Monday.
NAB questioned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for more than two and ahalf hours over the purchase and alleged illegal use of more than 30bulletproof government vehicles.
An investigation team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Mondayarrived in Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, where Nawaz Sharif is being heldsince December 2018 after his conviction in the Al-Azizia corruptionreference, to interrogate PML-N supremo.
The ongoing inquiry by the anti-graft body pertains to the allegedlyillegal use of 34 bulletproof cars that were purchased from Germany forguests of the 19th SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation)summit in 2016.

According to NAB, Sharif had subsequently added 20 of those 34 cars to hisown motorcade and he, as well as his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, used thevehicles for their personal use as well.
