ISLAMABAD – The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings for2019 are out.
The annual ranking now includes top 500 universities in Asia among which 23Pakistani universities are also present.
The latest rankings have brought some good news for Pakistan as the numberof Pakistani universities has increased from last year’s 16 to 23. The newentrants include International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIU),University of Sindh, Lahore College for Women University, University ofCentral Punjab, and University of Management and Technology.
The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad topsthe list of Pakistani universities that made the QS Asian UniversityRankings 2019 with the 87th rank. In terms of the world ranking, NUSTstands at 417th.
The second Pakistani university that made the list is Lahore University ofManagement (LUMS) with rank 95 in Asia and a world ranking between 701-750.
