MIRPUR – Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is extremely mourned over the demiseof veteran Kashmiri intellectual Ambassador Muhammad Yousaf Buch, formerInformation minister and Ambassador of Pakistan and the pleader of Kashmircause – who died in New York late Friday.AJK Prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has expressed deep sorrow andgrief over the death of Buch, a great son of the soil, former Informationminister and ambassador of Pakistan and former senior advisor to theSecretary General of the United Nations who passed away at the age of 98.In his condolence message AJK premier said that Buch dedicated his lifefor the Kashmir cause.Buch,ran a Free Kashmir Centre in New York from 1957 to 1972. He remained aSenior Advisor to the United Nations Secretary General for over 18 years.AJK premier Raja Farooq Haider Khan, earlier, announced on Saturday thatthe great departed ambassador of the Kashmir cause would be laid to rest atthe compound of the mausoleums of Mir Waiz Muhammad Yousaf Shah and K HKhursheed, the former Presidents of Azad Jammu & Kashmir in Muzaffarabadaccording to the wish of the prominent late Kashmiri intellectual andambassador.The Prime Minister Saturday accorded formal approval for the burial ofYousaf Buch, a great son of the soil, with state honour in the State’scapital town of Muzaffarabad.
