ISLAMABAD – Minister for States and Frontier Regions Shehryar Afridi saysPakistan would celebrate the year 2019 as forty years of hospitality ofAfghan refugees.
Addressing residents at Afghan refugee camp in Haripur on Friday, he saidPakistan is the biggest host country of refugees in an era where developednations are refusing to accept even a single boat of migrants.
Sheryar Afridi said despite economic crunch and security threats, Pakistanhas shared its bread and butter with their Afghan brothers.
The Minister said he visited the camp on the directive of Prime MinisterImran Khan.

He said unfortunately, past regimes did not raise the issue of Afghanrefugee but PTI government would address all issues being faced by theAfghan refugees.
Speaking on the occasion an Afghan leader Haibat Shah said the PTIgovernment has addressed issues being faced by Afghan refugees considerably.
