NEW YORK – American soldiers with the 82nd Airborne Division will be thefirst infantry Army battalion to employ pocket-sized drones at the squadlevel on their upcoming deployment in Afghanistan.
Troops with the Division’s 3rd Brigade Combat team were issued Black HornetPersonal Reconnaissance System this spring and provided training on how touse the drones, which resemble miniature helicopters, according to Starsand Stripes, an American military newspaper.
