ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on Friday hinted to joinpolitics in future while speaking in ARY’s exclusive World Cup 2019 showHar Lamha Purjosh.
Replying to a question of making his own party, Afridi said he has no suchplans, however there are fifty percent chances to make his politicaldebut but he cannot give any official statement yet.
The hard-hitting batsman also praised Prime Minister Imran Khan’s untiringefforts in politics after retiring from cricket. He further said it’s tooearly to comment on current Government’s performance.
Talking about grouping against Younis Khan back in 2009, Afridi said thathe was not against Younis or his captaincy at all, however the players werehaving problems with Younis and they approached the Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB)’s chairman Ejaz Butt.
