ISLAMABAD – PTCL has said in a press releaselinkthatdue to multiple cable cuts, internet services were impacted in differentregions across Pakistan and PTCL has partially restored the services.
According to *DownDetector* link and many othertweets, the internet is down worldwide. As reported by international mediaoutlet BGR, Google, Amazon, Reddit, Spectrum and many other websites areexperiencing global outages from the last couple of hours.
Moreover, the internet service company Cloud flare has recently identifieda possible “route leak impacting some Cloudflare IP ranges.” Afterward, thecompany also announced that the route leak is impacting many internetservices including Cloudflare and it appears that the issues have not beenfixed until now.
It is worth mentioning here that Cloudflare is one of the biggest networksoperating on the Internet. People use Cloudflare services for the purposesof increasing the security and performance of their websites and services.
As for Pakistan, it appears that most of the ISPs are facing similarproblems and internet users all across the country are complaining aboutthe issue.
To summarize, it must be noted that there are two things; one the globalinternet outage which seems to be resolved now to an extent and secondlythe internet services in Pakistan. According to our sources, PTCL’s fiberis facing some glitches causing internet outage for most of the internetusers in Pakistan.
PTCL’s technical teams are working on fully restoring the network forbusiness continuity and high availability.
