India gets the worst blow in the ICC World Cup

NEW DELHI – India’s left-handed opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan has beenruled out of the World Cup 2019 for the next three weeks due to a fracturedthumb.

Dhawan was hit by Australian pacer on his left thumb, Nathan Coulter-Nile,in a game played on Sunday, the opening batsman carried on batting afterreceiving first aid and went on to score a marvelous ton which inspired hisside to an important victory. He also received the Man of the Match awardfor his performance.

However, he did not come out to field and was seen icing his swollen thumb,later, on Tuesday, he undergone a precautionary scan and it was found outthat he has suffered a fracture.

Dhawan has been a phenomenal performer for India in ICC events scoring at astaggering average of 65.15, while maintaining an average of 53.70 in WorldCups only.
