OIC strongly responds over additional troops deployment in IOK, use of cluster bombs by India

*RIYADH – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly respondsover additional troops deployment in IOK, use of cluster bombs by India.*

*OIC has expressed deep concern about the worsening situation in theIndian-held Jammu and Kashmir (IHK).*

In a statement, the OIC general secretariat of today said it is concernedabout reports of deployment of *additional paramilitary forces* and use ofbanned *cluster bombs* by the Indian forces to target civilians.

It also expressed sadness over civilian casualties resulting from ceasefireviolations carried out by Indian forces across the Line of Control (LoC)and expresses solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Jammu andKashmir.

The OIC reiterated its call upon the international community to rise up toits responsibility for the peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir disputethrough the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite inaccordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations ofthe people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned *OIC SecretaryGeneral Dr Yousuf*linkAhmedAl-Othaimeen and asked to take immediate notice of Indian brutalities andpersecution in Occupied Kashmir.

In a telephonic conversation with the OIC Secretary General on Sunday, theminister said use of brute force by India on unarmed Kashmiri people isextremely condemnable.
