ISLAMABAD – Surprise name of a foreign team skipper surfaces for Pakistancricket team head coach.
As per the media report the name of former Sri Lankan skipper MahelaJawardane has been also considered for the top slot of Pakistan head coach.
A former Pakistan cricketer, who is very close to the PCB officials, hasrecommended former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene as a replacement ofMickey Arthur.
The former cricketer believes that Pakistan should appoint a coach who hashimself played all three formats of cricket. Jayawardene perfectly fitsthat bill but is currently coaching the Indian Premier League (IPL)franchise Mumbai Indians.
Mickey Arthur is also among the candidates being considered for theEngland’s coaching role.
