ISLAMABAD – Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur may be given two yearsextension in contract upon his own request as he has requested to extendhis contract.
Pakistan Head Coach Mickey Arthur, during the cricket committee meeting onFriday, requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to extend his coachingcontract by two years.
According to sources, Arthur has also suggested the PCB to appoint a localcoach as his assistant, who can be groomed under him and can eventuallytake over when his contract expires.
The PCB is also considering taking the advise of senior cricketers withregards to Arthur’s future with the Pakistan team. This can work againstArthur as several Pakistan cricketers are not satisfied with hisperformance as the head coach.
They believe that the 51-year-old is not very helpful during difficulttimes and refrains from accepting responsibility.
