NEW DELHI – European Countries issue terror alert advisory for OccupiedKashmir.
As thousands of Amarnath yatris and tourists are fleeing Jammu and Kashmirfollowing government’s advisory asking them to leave the state immediately,Germany and United Kingdom on Saturday advised their citizens againsttravel to the valley.
In a travel advisory, the UK government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office(FCO) advised against all travel to “the immediate vicinity of the borderwith Pakistan, other than at Wagah. Jammu and Kashmir, except for (i)travel within the city of Jammu, (ii) travel by air to the city of Jammu,and (iii) travel within the region of Ladakh.”
The tourist destinations of Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg fall within theareas to which the FCO advise against all travel, it said.
Germany too updated its travel advisory to India, “strongly discouraging”its citizens from travelling to Jammu and Kashmir due to a recent securityalert.
