State terrorism: Indian troops martyred 11 Kashmiris including minor girl and a woman

SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts ofstate terrorism martyred 11 Kashmiris including a minor girl and a womanduring the last month of July. According to the data issued by the ResearchSection of Kashmir Media Service, today, during the month, 80 people werecritically injured due to the use of brute force and firing of pallets,bullets and teargas shells by Indian police and paramilitary personnelagainst peaceful protesters in the territory. Forty-six Hurriyat leaders,activists and youth were also arrested.

Meanwhile, High Court Bar Association has expressed serious concern overthe directions issued by Indian police asking for details of mosques andtheir managements in the territory.

In a statement in Srinagar, the association termed the move as interferencein religious affairs of Muslims.

It said the directive is discriminatory as it singles out the Muslimcommunity and subjects it to unfair treatment, which is contrary to theconcept of freedom of religion.
