ISLAMABAD: Pakistan FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi held important meeting with UStop envoy Zalmay Khalilzad in Islamabad.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met with US Special Representativefor Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad in Islamabad on Thursday.

In the meeting today, FM Qureshi and Khalilzad discussed the progress onthe ongoing Afghan peace process.

The two diplomats discussed regional security as well.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the US envoy and FM Qureshidiscussed the progress in backdrop of the meeting held in Doha, which wasthe seventh round of talks between the Taliban and US.
