*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to expand bilateralcooperation in the fields of information and culture.*

The understanding came at a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah MahmoodQureshi and Saudi Minister for Media Turki bin Abdullah A-Shabana inIslamabad on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the foreign minister said Pakistan and SaudiArabia have long maintained historical and cultural relations, and Pakistangives high value to its ties with Saudi Arabia.

He said the two countries have unanimity of views on important regional andglobal issues.

Qureshi said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan hasfurther strengthened the relationship between the two countries.

He said the establishment of Pak-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council is animportant step toward promotion of political, economic and culturalcooperation between the two countries.
