LAHORE – The fifth edition of the Habib Bank Limited Pakistan Super League(HBL PSL) is likely to take place in Pakistan from February 20 to March 22,2020. The final of the fifth season is expected to be held in Lahore.According to sources, the draft of next year’s HBL PSL is currently beingplanned for the second or third week of November, 2019.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already informed all franchises thatthe entire season five of HBL PSL will take place in Pakistan. Foreignplayers are also being informed that only those cricketers will be includedin the draft, who agrees to play in Pakistan. According to details, Lahoreis expected to host 11 matches while Karachi will host nine. Rawalpindi andMultan are also likely to get eight and four matches, respectively.National Stadium in Karachi is likely to host the matches of Karachi Kings,Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in the initial stages.
On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans and Islamabad Unitedare expected to play their matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Peshawarand Azad Kashmir are also in consideration to host a match each. The boardofficials are soon expected to visit both venues and submit its report tothe HBL PSL administration.
