ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has imposed a fine onPTI Chairman Imran Khan for violating the code of conduct announced for theup-coming by-elections.
The top election body has also fined Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief MinisterMahmood Khan and other party leaders after they along with Imran Khanjoined a political gathering in Peshawar.
District Monitoring Officer (DMO), Peshawar, imposed the fine after hefound the replies submitted by the PTI chief and other leaders in responseto a notice unsatisfactory,
The other party leaders, who were slapped with fine of Rs50,000 each,include Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Ishtiaq Urmar, Shaukat Yousufzai, KamranBangash, Anwar Zeb, Muhammad Iqbal, Khaliqur Rehman and Wazir Zada.
