ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Customs has seized smuggled Indian goods worthmillions of rupees in crackdown against the smugglers across country in afresh campaign.
Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad stepped up its anti-smuggling drive onthe instructions of member Customs Jawwad Agha and seized goods worthmillions.
In its fresh operation on Saturday, two trucks loaded with transit goods,including Indian origin goods were seized by MCC Islamabad.
Moreover, huge quantity of Indian silk fabric, milk and other smuggledgoods were seized by the anti-smuggling team of Islamabad customs onIslamabad Peshawar Lahore motorway near Kalar Kahar.
The fresh seizure is a second major confiscation in a month by IslamabadCustoms wherein Indian origin goods were seized along with other transitgoods.
The collectorate also seized smuggled vehicles worth over 60 million rupeesin a single week. The department has seized goods worth over 170 millionPKR in August alone.
