PCB seek 3 million out of court settlement

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board seek $3 million out of court settlementover broadcasting dispute with the broadcasters.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the broadcasters have reached anout-of-court settlement on a three million dollar fee issue related to thePakistan and West Indies three-match T20 International (T20I) series heldin April 2018.

Since the T20I series was not originally a part of the InternationalCricket Council (ICC)’s Future Tour Programme, the PCB demanded a separatefee of three million dollar from the broadcasters for it. However, thebroadcasters refused to pay the amount.

The issue was also discussed in the Board of Governors (BOG) meeting heldin February, earlier this year.

The former PCB chairman Najam Sethi had already issued an invoice regardingthe fee before giving his resignation; hence the matter needed to beresolved.
