NEW DELHI – The Indian National Congress has said that BJP government ispursuing blind law in Occupied Kashmir which caused a lot of harm to thecountry and its Constitution.
In a statement, Congress leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed fear that ifthe ruling dispensation wished, there could be a Kashmir-like situation inany part of India.
He said this is probably the first time in the world, not just in India,that a law is framed where people of the territory are detained for over amonth and cut off from the rest of the world.
He said, there is no telephone or Internet facility, people are not allowedto meet each other and leaders who are outside Kashmir are not allowed tovisit their home.
Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson, Manish Tewari, termed the situation inJammu and Kashmir as “strange and scary”.
He said that all the political people in Kashmir have been either arrestedor detained.
