*LAHORE: **In an unprecedented move, Pakistani doctors seek permission tocross LoC for IOK people.*
*Vice-Chancellor of University of Health Sciences, Professor Dr JavaidAkram, has contacted Indian High Commission to seek permission for crossingLine of Control (LoC) to provide medical facilities to the people ofoccupied Jammu and Kashmir.*
The doctors have taken one more step forward after the August 30’sannouncement to cross the ceasefire line to help the Kashmiris sufferingbrutalities by Indian troops in the occupied valley.
Dr Akram met Indian first secretary Ashish Sharma at the Indian HighCommission and handed him over the letter of University of Health Sciences(UHS) and Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (PSIM).
*Doctors seek permission *of the Indian authorities to allow them crossingthe ceasefire line to enter into Srinagar along with the teams of doctorsand medicines. The letter clarified to the Indian authorities that theyhave no political motives behind the move but to only help the Kashmiris.
Earlier on August 30, Pakistani doctors had taken a great initiative tosupport people suffering miserable situation in the Indian occupied Jammuand Kashmir by announcing to cross the ceasefire line for providing medicalservices to Kashmiris.
The brave decision was jointly announced by the physicians of theUniversity of Health Sciences (UHS) and Pakistan Society of InternalMedicine (PSIM) when the whole nation was showing solidarity with Kashmirover the call of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
