ISLAMABAD – US Special Representative for Afghan reconciliation ZalmayKhalilzad has held meeting with Afghan president Ashraf Ghani in Kabul andbriefed him on the latest round of talks with the Taliban in Doha.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s spokesman, Sediq Seddiqi, has confirmed themeeting.
He said meeting was held shortly after envoy Zalmay Khalilzad arrived fromQatar, where the ninth round of talks ended without a final agreement.
