Five Chinese nationals arrested by Indian Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in New Delhi

New Delhi: Five Chinese nationals arrested by Indian Directorate of RevenueIntelligence in New Delhi.

Indian Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested five Chinesenationals for allegedly trying to smuggle American dollars worth Rs. 3.2crore out of India from Terminal-3 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI)Airport in Delhi.

DRI officials said that all the five passengers, who belong to Taiwan, wereintercepted on Wednesday when they were about to depart from New Delhi toHong-Kong by Flight No AI 310

. They confessed that they were part of a larger syndicate involved insmuggling of foreign origin gold into India and smuggling out of saleproceeds of smuggled gold (foreign currency) out of India.
