ISLAMABAD – Surprise Name surfaces for post of Chief Selector of PakistanCricket Team.
Former Pakistan cricketer Mohsin Khan is likely to be selected for theposition of chief selector for the Pakistan Cricket team as reported by thePress Trust of India.
The position was vacated by legendary former batsman Inzamamul Haq, afterthe Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided against renewing his contractwhich ended in July.
The report also suggested that former captain Misbahul Haq and legendaryformer fast-bowler Waqar Younis were the favourites for the positions ofhead coach and bowling coach respectively.
According to details, a source in the PCB revealed that the five-memberpanel, which was interviewing the candidates, is close to making its finaldecision.
“They will now have deliberations on finalising their recommendations andit appears as if Misbah is a favourite to be named head coach with Waqar asthe bowling coach,” the source said.
