LAHORE: An accountability court on Friday issued bailable arrest warrantsfor PPP former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf over his repeated failureto appear in Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) illegal appointmentscase.
Judge Syed Jawadul Hassan conducted the case proceedings during which thedefence counsel submitted an application and pleaded with the court toexempt his client from appearance as he was ill.
However, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor argued thatformer premier had skipped many hearings whereas the case entered the finalstages.
